Guest conductors, maestro Lucia Vallesi, Marcelo Conca, Marcos Martins and William Vergara, together with maestro JongWhi Vakh-director of the Cordoba Symphony Orchestra- rehearse Concerts for Peace with the Latin America Symphony Orchestra, in the main hall of the Libertador Theater. The orchestra, born during the pandemic stage, assembles face-to-face for the first time, after virtual meetings. The group is a creation of JongWhi Vakh - also K-Classic General Artistic Director - and is made up of musicians from professional orchestras from Mexico City, and from countries such as Colombia, Ecuador and Argentina.
The orchestra takes the stage Saturday 10-20. Admission is free and free. Public entry will be on a first come first serve basis and no need to pull out locations early..
The repertoire announces Egyptian March, by Johann Strauss; and Hungarian Rhapsody N°2, by Franz Liszt, conducted by maestro William Vergara. Under the baton of teacher Lucía Vallesi, Huapango, by Jose Pablo Moncayo, and Obertura Nabucco, by Giuseppe Verdi will be performed. Also, Danzon N°2, by Arturo Marquez; and Libertango, by Ástor Piazzolla, directed by maestro Marcelo Conca. For his part, maestro Marcos Martins Araujo will take charge of Bacchanale, by Camille Saint-Saëns, and prelude to O guaratuja, by Ernst Mahle. Symphony No. 9, Antonin Dvorak; and Arirang, by unknown author, arranged by Kang Seok Jeong, conducted by Maestro JongWhi Vakh.
